Our commission

You keep what you earn

The usual arrangement here is that the agency takes around half of your first month's fees. We take none of it. Parents pay you directly, at the rate the two of you agree, and we never touch the money.

If that ever changes we'll say so before it does, and it wouldn't apply to an assignment you already have. It is written down in our terms.

    Every new assignment is scored against your subjects, levels, hours, areas and rate. Anything you can't teach never reaches you, and what does arrives ranked.

    Say yes to what suits you. We introduce you to the family, and the lessons, the fees and the arrangement are yours to agree directly with them.

  • What does this cost me?

    Nothing. There is no commission, no sign-up fee and no charge for an introduction. The usual arrangement in Singapore is that the agency takes around half of your first month's fees. We take none of it, and if that ever changes we will tell you first, and it would not apply to an assignment you already have.

  • How do I get paid?

    Directly by the family, in whatever way the two of you arrange. We never handle your fees or take a share of them, so what you agree with the parent is what you keep.

  • Do I need teaching experience?

    No. Undergraduates, part-timers, full-time tutors and current or former MOE teachers are all welcome, and parents can filter for the kind of tutor they want. Being new is not a mark against you, it is one of the options.

  • What does a verified badge mean?

    That we have seen proof of what you claimed: a degree scroll or an academic transcript for your qualifications and results, and a letter or posting record if you teach or have taught with MOE. We do not ask for or keep NRIC numbers. Unverified tutors still see every assignment they match, so the badge is a signal to parents rather than a gate on you.

  • Do I have to take an assignment you send me?

    No. An assignment landing in your list is an invitation, not a commitment. Ignore the ones that don't suit you, and nothing changes about what you're shown next.

  • What should I charge?

    Whatever you think you are worth, and you can change it whenever you like. If you want a sense of what the market pays, we keep a table of typical hourly rates by level and tutor type, taken from several agencies and dated so you can see how fresh it is. Bear in mind those are rates parents pay agencies that take a cut of your first month. Here they do not.

  • Can I change my rate or hours later?

    Any time, from your dashboard. Your rate, areas, hours, levels and subjects are what we match on, so keeping them current is the whole of what you need to do.
